This weekend my dad came into town. He moved to Georgia last year, so he only comes to visit about every three weeks. He stopped on the way to see me to ride his bike. He rode forty miles on a road bike; that is insane! He wants me to start riding with him but I don’t think that I can ride that much.
Saturday we went to J Alexander’s on west end. Their food is delicious! We walked a few doors down to Columbia Transit and a hippy type store. I bought a purse made from an old burlap rice bag. Then we walked around down town and watched all the tourists in their country getty up.
I had to work from seven to four on Sunday. Dad met me there and we went to cinco. After dinner we decided to go see a movie but we couldn’t decide on which one to go to. We picked “The other guys” with Will Ferrel in it. It was awful! It was suppose to be funny, but it wasn’t at all. It wasn’t even stupid funny. No one in the audience was laughing. We left and got coffee because we almost fell asleep.
Monday was Labor Day which means no school! I finally got to sleep in! I got ready and had a late breakfast with my dad. After breakfast we went and got dishes from my grandfather. He is getting rid of a lot of stuff so he said I could have it for college. I also got the quilt that I always slept with when I was a baby. It is a little dingy but it still brings back memories.
